When I moved to Seattle two years ago, I remember first catching sight of Mount Rainier looming above the skyline as we drove from the airport and into the city. That was a view I'll never forget. As the highest volcano in the Cascade Mountain Range, it looked so striking and massive against the clear blue sky that day. Coming from the Midwest of mainly flat plains and (at most) gentle rolling hills, I was not used to seeing something so dramatic and piercing. I find myself waiting to see if I can catch a glimpse of it poking through the clouds, or yearning for cloudless days so I can once again see this beautiful landmass illuminate the sky.
Since moving here, I've had the pleasure of visiting Mount Rainier countless times, with each visit as unique and different as the many facets and faces of the mountain itself. Mount Rainier holds a very special place in my heart, and I wanted to create a dress that would embody everything I felt when I visited this majestic mountain for the first time and every time after: bold, beautiful, strong, and wild.
This mountain has given me immeasurable inspiration, from watching the Milky Way rise with millions of stars above its peak, to seeing a kaleidoscope of colors when spring melts its icy shell and summer brings along its wildflower blooms. And even on those trips where the fog and snow was so dense that I felt engulfed by the power of the mountain itself, I know that it's a place I can go to be inspired and reconnect with what's truly important in life. With this dress, I hope to capture even just a tiny fraction of Mount Rainier's fiery and resilient spirit.

Made from female artisans in Indonesia. These dresses are called the Adventure Dress because they take up no space in suitcases and are so comfortable that you can wear them 24+ hours on an airplane!
Material: 100% Soft Rayon Voile Fabric
Model: Melissa (@witandfolly) is 5' 2" wearing an XS/S. This is our only non-wrap dress and has a longer length than our classic adventure dress; each dress is handmade by Artisans in Indonesia.
